My favorite :) but as you mention below, this is quite hard.

I'm looking into it now. I think I can patch the btsco userspace daemon
so that it doesn't disable the headset everytime the device is closed. I
am not sure how (yet), but I'll keep you posted if I get it done.

That would remove some annoyance, but it would still need time to enable
after the other end answers.
