[Ekiga-list] XMeeting

Hi all,
I am trying to connect a PC with an Apple Mac using Ekiga on ubuntu and 
xmeeting on the apple side.
After opening the relevant ports I get a connection with audio/video but 
quality especially of audio is very poor.
Both clients are registered at ekiga.net and using the sip protocol.
Has anybody experience when connecting ekiga to an xmeeting client ?
