Nothing wrong in that -d 4 output unfortunately.
Would it be possible when it happens to do this :
ps ax | grep ekiga (try to see the pid)
gdb attach pid
thread apply all bt
and mail us the bt.

The -d 4 won't help. The problem is on the other side. Notice that the
ring is generated by the remote, not by the called party. Finally, it
could also be due to some NAT issue (the binding expires).

Welcome back Damien !

When (roughly) do you expect Ekiga will add iax ?

Kiax is starting to look attractive and be widely
used among alternative media communities, requiring only one UDP
port per endpoint to create a successful communication channel.
This makes it friendlier for users behind NAT than SIP and H.323
.. and it's simple.

I don't know. One Google SoC student is working on it, so it could be
fast (September). However, if the student doesn't finish the work, I do
not think I will have the time to do it myself before a few years. Too
few spare time, too few coders...

I don't think so, I never had problems with Sarge's ALSA. AFAIK the one
in Etch is broken (still).

Nothing happens after my call clearing attempts.

I'm using the precompiled packages, I couldn't find a package with
debugging symbols. I don't know whether I will have time to build it on
my own soon...

What happened to the CVS snapshots by the way?

I changed the port numbers from 506x to 526x, perhaps this caused the
problem... I try to change it back. A NAT problem is not possible, I'm
directly connected to the backbone.

By the way, pretty OT: In order to add IPv6 support to OPAL, would it be
necessary to change anything on SIP level or would it be enough to adapt
the networking part (sockets etc.)? I thought of doing this in case I
have some time left...

Best regards,
Hannes

Yes, but that doesn't help. It simply indicates that you are trying to
clear the call and that it doesn't work.

The socket part is already ok and supports IPv6. You would need to
change the OPAL SIP part.

I was a bit unclear, sorry. I was talking about the CVS-snapshot
packages for Debian. Building stopped in April. Don't know whether other
distributions are affected as well.

Ok, I will look into it.

I think the problem is the missing method RTP_Session::Set<forgot the name>, my snapshots are broken as well. I think Damien added a method to his private
copy of OPAL and forgot to commit it upstream.

Damien: Good you are back, hope you enjoyed your holidays!

Hi Folks,

I am trying to setup Ekiga to use a vBuzzer account. For some reason the
vBuzzer proxy sends back a 500 message. These guys use port 80 for the
proxy, and I seem to be hitting it with my current config. I have no
problems with xlite, it can register and call out.

I didn't have time yet to trace the xlite & ekiga signaling and
compare... but if someone could post a known working config of Ekiga for
vBuzzer, that would be awesome :-)

Thanks a lot,
Ari
