Drivel & Wordpress 1.5.2

I'm trying to get drivel to connect to my wordpress installation. I found the instructions and set the url to my xmlrpc.php file. But I get a server error. I checked in the console and it's complaining about the xml declaration not being the first line of the file or something like that... I didn't alter my wordpress installation in any way. What's going on?
