Re: Only one instance of a capplet should be allowed



My suggestion would be to re-instate libcapplet, and put the code to
manage the problem there. And to manage the problem, a simple selection
on the root window, similar to what gnome-volume-manager does, would
probably foot the bill. But there's really no easy way to solve this
without enforcing policy to do it through that method, and keeping the
items that end up in the control center, under a strict list. Anyone
can install items that show up in the control center currently.
