My build framework is something like 
        PATH="/opt/gnome/sbin:/opt/gnome/bin:$PATH"

        PKG_CONFIG_PATH="/opt/gnome/lib/pkgconfig"
        ACLOCAL_FLAGS="-I /opt/gnome/share/aclocal
        -I /usr/share/aclocal"
        CFLAGS="-g -D_GNU_SOURCE"
        
It seems that using instead
        CFLAGS="-g" 
everything goes fine. The -D_GNU_SOURCE option was (is still?) needed by
gnome-keyring.

BTW the bugzilla module for this bug is atk?
