Have you tried this with Sun's Mozilla accessibility builds?

If that actually works much better (I don't have a clue about it,
except that it exists), then we at least know that it only takes
integrating Sun's patches into the Mozilla trunk before GtkMozEmbed
can be considered a11y-enabled.
