I was really hoping this was some kind of sick April Fools' joke.  It 
seems like a waste of time and resources, to no particular purpose, 
which will break all existing URIs which point to bugzilla bugs.  What 
in the world does this really accomplish?

Thanks for another make-work project, spanner in the works, etc.  Why 
was the wider development community not consulted before proposing this?
