This is so self-evident that we tend to forget this, just because it's right under our noses. The best promotion is not promotion at all: it's bundling and keeping it as default. Windows Media got its traction exactly that way. I have lots of friends who can no longer use their media files on their new computers because they used WM to rip their CDs. They weren't even aware they had used Windows Media. Something like that should happen in Ogg Vorbis world. CD Ripping apps should promote hardware players with OV support as well, because that's also important. > _______________________________________________ > desktop-devel-list mailing list > desktop-devel-list gnome org > http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list -- Manuel Amador (Rudd-O) GPG key ID: 0xC1033CAD at keyserver.net
