It is indeed insane, and I thought some where more open minded that what
was proved.

However, if there's such a rockus, than probably some guidelines for
release names might be needed.

IMHO, though, only stable releases should have a guideline for naming
(if we're having one anyway), and unstable releases can very well do
without any naming, sidestepping any guidelines without extra work for
the developers.
