yes, i'm planning to use it too...
for now i have 2 copies of files like /etc/resolv.conf and so on,
and switch between them manually when i go home or when i arrive at
work.
question:
my biggest problem is smtp....at home i am at cable-modem, so i have to
use
my inet provider's smtp server.
but at work i cannot access it, so i have to use the smtp server at
work.
for now i solve this the following way:
in /etc/hosts i create an entry for 'smtp-server', which points to the
actual smtp server,
and have 2 copies of /etc/hosts..one for work, and one for home.
and in evolution i set the smtp server to 'smtp-server'.
does netapplet have a solution to this problem?
thanks,
gabor
