How about ancient warriors that did great deeds but didn't actually exist? Like Beowulf. The guy is probably modelled after some cruel man-slaughtering vikings, but all that's left now is a great story about someone who takes his sword with him when he goes swimming 'in case he meets any whales'. Other possibilities are: The greek heroes, the arthurian heroes etc. just my 2c. |
