Hi,
Just a list of problems related to my gdesklets experience :
- It consumes a lot of memory and cpu
- Some sensors are forking shell commands (ex: CPUSensor -> cat
/proc/stat)
- System sensors should be using libgtop (performance + portability)
- cpu demanding sensors should be native libs wrapped in python
As it is, using gdesklets to monitor system ressources (cpu, network,
volumes, network) is unusable.
Don't misinterpret my message, I LOVE gdesklets, I'm just disapointed.
