What about l10n? The ~/Desktop directory can not be localised.
I have heard arguments from both sides, some good, some not so good, but
every one has his point.
Can the pro-~/Desktop people argue against this?
Will nautilus lose my icons every time I log with a different locale?
Will nautilus force me to see an english "Desktop" folder on my home?
why? some sort of symlink? other solutions?
No! simpler, cleaner, I10n friendly, $HOME as desktop !!!
