If it would help, i could package up those tarballs in rh9 rpm's and give
them a test spin. I would also be happy to share the source rpm's i'd create
in the process if there is a demand for it

The source rpm's would be created & tested on Red Hat 9 only, however likely
to work perfectly w/ rh8 too. Maybe if i ask very, very nicely i could get
Gregory Leblanc to look at them to bless them as gnome-release-quality
within that time frame. (I'm hesitant to offer binary rpm's since i have one
or two updates that make the box not 100% plain rh9 and wouldn't want any
chance of bad binary packages)

Anyways, let me know if either would help & good luck with the release!
