However it would be nice for people to be aware of the newly deprecated
functions in 2.3 that already have replacements in 2.2 so that when we
move to 2.4 it won't be such a hassle.

I'm thinking mainly of the gtk_idle and gtk_timeout functions and some
gdkpixbuf drawing routines.
