Hi,
After a brief chat on #gnome about smilies, theming them, and the use of
them, I'd like to propose that libgnomeui[1] or GTK+[2] defines a set of
stock icons for the smilies.
GnomeChat does this at the moment, naming the icons "-smiley-:)" and so
on. If these icons and names where taken and put somewhere central,
then Evolution, Gaim, Gossip, Gnome Chat, Gabber, etc could use them, we
could theme them, and I would not have to have smilies which are twice
as large as my IM text.
