from around April 25.

I made some screenshots if anyone is interested, http://joshuaeichorn.com/screenshots/gnome2/

Am I right in thinking these are without
anti-aliasing?

I didn't run into a lot of problems, but there were
a couple of persistent crashes, of course i'm not sure if there fixed yet, and i don't really want to rebuild the entire chain from cvs just to check things out.

The redhat Start-here link causes nautilus to crash,
and if thats a Redhat specific patch its understandable that it doesn't work but i don't think it should crash nautilus.

Also there seems to be a bug with the Window
Apperance preference window. When your selecting a new theme, the theme is changed on each mouseover of a name on the pulldown. After 3 or 4 for, rep locks up (cpu is at 100%) and i have to kill it by hand to do
much of anything else.

From my little bit of testing and using gnome2 as
my primary desktop at home Metacity seems a lot less flaky then sawfish, well except for you can't move sawfish in Metacity and its ugly :-)

Anyhow that info probally not that useful, if
someone else is seeing the problem in the window appearance setting window and its not just a messed up setup here
(/usr/bin/rep is hasn't been updated from gnome
1.4), then i'll submit a but, otherwise enjoy the screenshots
