is_kde compile errors??

Hi All,

Trying to compile gnome-core-1.4.0.6, on linux i686/glibc-2.2.5, with
gnome-libs-1.4.1.4 and getting the following errors in the panel dir.

I've found only one reference to a similar error from 1999 and the only
suggestion then was to use the latest gnome-libs, which I am. What else
could be wrong, and how can I fix this? I'd be happy to disable kde
altogether, I don't use it. A similar error occurs in launcher.c if I
comment out the offending if's found in menu.c. I don't know how to hack
launcher.c to get rid of the is_kde errors.
