Regarding this part of bug #68978: 

"Also it would be nice if it could find 'found so far' results while it
is searching. This way the app feels more interactive, and chances are
the wanted result might be found before the actual search is done."

My patch does resolve this problem.

Regarding bug #68978, the later half of it has been fixed with my
patch.
