gconf heads up

Hi,

I just committed a largish gconf patch, which:

 a) cleans up gconf-client.c a bit and improves 
    some caching etc.
 b) adds some padding to things thus breaking the ABI
 c) makes notifications come in asynchronously (in an idle handler)
    and also removes ordering guarantees (notifies don't come 
    in the same order as changes)

If it breaks stuff, please let me know. I tested it with a couple apps
but I don't have a test suite program for GConfClient because I'm a
loser.
