problems with bonobo components and ssh X11 forwarding

hi!

I just discovered that bonobo components refuse to start when run on a
remote server with X11 display exported via a ssh tunnel. other apps
work fine.

this is the error message I get from say, eog-image-viewer or
ggv-postscript-viewer (latest CVS HEAD, gnome 2.0 built with jhbuild
scripts):

jaka fish:~/cvs-gnome/ggv$
/usr/local/gnome2/libexec/ggv-postscript-viewer 
_X11TransSocketINETConnect: not INET hostlocalhost

(ggv-postscript-viewer:22189): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
localhost:10.0

any ideas on what is wrong here?
