Build problem with linc 0.5.2 on RH6.2

Has anyone had any problems building linc 0.5.2 on a redhat 6.2 machine?? My
build dies on installation it says...
"cannot stat `./html/index.sgml' no such file or directory'
this builds fine on redhat 7.2 an 7.3, all machines are using gcc-2.95.3 and
make-3.79.1
any suggestions??
