I'll take a look at that... not exactly wild about manually mucking
about with rdiff.  It's not 'urgent' and I'm not 'desperate', but it
looks like they have a considerable laundry list of bugs already on
the duplicity ppa site - not sure when/if this will get addressed.
Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised... ;)
