2 Filters to Write

Ok, I've noticed 2 file formats that are accumulating in random places
around my ~/ and that we have no filter for. First up, patches.
application/x-patch and text/x-patch to be exact, unfortunately, its
difficult (to say the least) to extract what type of file has been
diff'ed, and therefore how to filter the contents once we remove the +'s
and -'s. I was just wondering if anyone had any particularly good
thoughts on that front.

The other one is a little more complex, but application/ics or ical
files. While I don't find myself with directories of them, the often
come as mail attachments. In that case, is it worth it to treat them as
events (like from the EDS backend) as an old e-mail could contain some
random reoccurring event that I (the user) have no interest in.

I'm just thinking out loud. I'll probably play with writing these later
this week, but just wanted to get a little input before I was in too far
over my head.

Cheers,
