3 totally unrelated backends stop working while the others are running :0 ?
Perhaps kmail / kopete / indexingservice backends hate you :P.
Jokes apart, can you start beagled with "--debug --fg" flags, and keep
an eye on the console for any exceptions ?
If you see any, see if you can post it.
If you dont, head for bugzilla armed with copies of
current-Beagle/current-IndexHelper/other current-* files.
