After running some update, in combination with the removal of some
obsolete/older libraries, Beagle suddenly worked and it does not crash
anymore.... I had promised to look into the bug but I cannot reproduce
it anymore.
I am now running an up-tot-date Debian Etch AMD64 SMP with only Beagle
and it's direct dependencies from Sid.
