hello.
i hope this is the right list.
i'm trying to include beagle into our office network. the home
directories are mounted over nfs and then we have a couple of samba
shares. indexing the home directory works out. but when i try to index
the samba shares beagle crashes when it comes across an image (bmp, jpg,
png - gif seems to work though). i tried to index the samba shares
dynamicly (by beagle-settings - add additional path) and with
beagle-build-index. i run beagle-build-index from the client, because i
cannot include the beagle software that easy into the fileserver image
(its a rather complicated setup). i tried it out with beagle 0.2.3 that
comes with ubuntu dapper and a selfbuild beagle 0.2.2.1 deb that i
downloaded from ubuntuforums.org.
i use the following command to index:
---------------------------
crito salsa-10-1-0-19:~$ /usr/local/sbin/beagle-build-index --debug \
--recursive --deny-pattern .beagle* \
--remap /mnt/user/crito/:/fileserver/ --target \
~/.beaglestatic_salsa /mnt/user/crito/salsa

the following software is installed:
