beagled stuck, won't shutdown -- debugging suggestions?

Slow progress, got to stable, restartable, situation, but beagled is
now off in a world of its own after running in the background for
several days --

  13253 ht 25 0 2638m 601m 2524 R 83.8 59.5 3789:15 mono

and it is ignoring beagle-shutdown

I can attach to it with gdb, but I just see 11 mono threads, can't
tell which if any might be of interest. . .

I tried getting mono to start tracing, by sending SIGUSR2 to the
relevant process, but that just started gamin tracing (!).

The logs show nothing for the last several days, and nothing unusual
at the end, although the beagle log ends suspiciously close to 2100
hours, which _might_ be relevant -- the last line reads:

05-10-15 20.59.44.37 13253 Beagle INFO: WebServicesConfigurationChanged EventHandler invoked

Any suggestions for how to help debug this would be welcome.
