Yes, I agree with Todd. We guys disrupt too much for nothing. The disruption should be in technology not in such standard ways of doing things.

As for the warnings, what is the motivation to handle it that way? Deleting data, why would we want to do such a drastic thing?

Just out of curiosity, why not go with a --cache-dir=/var/cache/....
and/or --cache-dir /var/cache/.... type syntax instead of just assuming
the last one is the cache dir? Seems like the latter is asking for angry
users, no matter how loud and scary the warnings are.
