It isn't a question of 64Mb not being "enough" --- 64Mb is a cap on the
size of the indexing helper process. If it gets too big, it shuts
itself down and a new one gets started up. I admit that this is a bug
hack, but it is the only way for us to work around our issues with
mono's GC.
Of course, if you are seeing that message every few lines, the cap
(which was set more-or-less at random) might need to be adjusted. Could
you e-mail a log from ~/.beagle/Log that has the relevant debug
messages?
