I got a message with a missing gpg key.
I clicked the button to import the key.
Then balsa begin eating all the CPU (AMD64 3500+), all the RAM  
(1Gbyte), all the swap (2GB) and finally was killed by the oom-killer.

I had a top running in a corner and I can see that the balsa process  
was eating the cpu and the memory
