I can confirm this, as of ChangeLog revision 1.1984 compiled today. A compile on February 6th was fine.
There is a bug in that version, missing the translation from "old" to "new" (stock) icon names when loading the prefs, like "balsa_print" -> "gtk-print" for the "Item" entries in the balsa rc file. I submitted a patch for that yesterday.
Nice mailbox icons, by the way.
Thanks! All icons are now *completely* themable, i.e. there is nothing hard-wired in balsa any more. So if you would like to provide other/nicer oens, feel free to change them in $prefix/share/balsa/hicolor (the others are taken from the hicolor theme) or to add them to your favorite theme.
