Problem viewing attachments

Hello experts,

Ive recently installed 2.0.10 but have ran into a problem.  When 
executing an application that is associated with an attachment (ie. 
Open with AbiWord button) or launching the webbrowser (clicking on a 
link), Balsa seems to freeze.

Ive taken a look at the source and it seems that the (attachment) 
freeze is caused by a call to gnome_execute_shell on line 2362 of 
balsa-message.c. i.e. gnome_execute_shell never returns.

Any idea what might be happening here? or do I have a broken Gnome?
