Solaris compile failure

Hello,

I am trying to compile balsa 1.2.4 on a Sparc Solaris. I got all the prerequisite libraries as well as Ximian gnome installed. I got to this point in my compilation:
Making all in imap
make[4]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
gcc -DSHAREDIR=\"/folks/salman/bin/share\" -DSYSCONFDIR=\"/folks/salman/bin/etc\" -DLIBMUTT -I. -I./imap -g -O2 -I/folks/salman/bin/include -c mx.c
mx.c: In function `mx_lock_file':
mx.c:203: `LOCK_EX' undeclared (first use in this function)
mx.c:203: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
mx.c:203: for each function it appears in.)
mx.c:203: `LOCK_SH' undeclared (first use in this function)
mx.c:203: `LOCK_NB' undeclared (first use in this function)
mx.c:250: `LOCK_UN' undeclared (first use in this function)
mx.c: In function `mx_unlock_file':
mx.c:271: `LOCK_UN' undeclared (first use in this function)
make[4]: *** [mx.o] Error 1
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

Any ideas what this means?

Salman
