Help files failed build on RH7.1

I've noticed that the build of the Balsa documentation / help
files fails on my RH7.1 system. This is further reflected in the
failure of the RPM build to install a good copy of the
documentation (most likely caused because the binary RPM is built
on a stock RH7.1 system with no updates, IIRC).

Dan Mueth posted to the GNOME Documentation Project mailing list
a few weeks ago with a fix to this problem (see
http://lists.gnome.org/archives/gnome-doc-list/2001-August/msg00000.html)
Essentially, the way in which DocBook is handled changed in RH7.1
and a workaround has been built into the gdp-example1 in GNOME
CVS. We've successfully implemented this on the Anjuta project,
and it has resolved the issue with multiple errors being reported
during the parsing of the SGML files in the build.

I've only recently started to look at Balsa, so it would not
really be my place to go applying fixes of this kind to CVS at
this time - this is just to draw your attention to the problem
(and the solution!). If no-one else has an opportunity to look at
the issue, I'll look at doing a patch later in the week if I have
time - unlikely though with my current commitments :-(

Hope that helps
Andy
