changing colours in Balsa 0.6.0

Hi Folks

I have Balsa 0.6.0 installed on a Sparc with debian 2.2r2 installed and 
I have a problem with the message display.

The received messages are displayed in white lettering on a light grey 
background, which as u can imagine is a bit tough on the eyes :(

Short of changing the version.... is there anyway to get around this?
