Debian packages!!!

OK, I have finally built debian packages. A thousand apologies for
being a hopeless maintainer.

My provisional packages can be found at
http://people.debian.org/~jules (the 1.1.4 ones, of course).  I'd be
hugely grateful if anyone running unstable, or testing + some new
libs, would try them out for me and hit me with a cluebat over all the 
stupid errors I've undoubtedly made putting together a package in a
hurry last thing at night!

If I don't get any bug reports I'll upload it early next week, I
shoudl think.
