mailbox already open - bug?

I am running Balsa 1.1.2, Red Hat Linux 6.2 (i686)

After reading a mailbox i tried to check it again later, but Balsa does not show
it. In the terminal from which I ran Balsa a message says:
** WARNING **: mailbox bioperl is already open.
However the mailbox is not open (it does not show its tab in the upper panel).
I have set my preferences to close mailboxes after 10 minutes.

This didn't happened with previous versions.
