How the list determines who can submit

It would be nice to have the list use the "From:" content header to
determine who's permitted to submit, instead of the "From" envelope header.
Several mail's I've sent haven't been posted because my regular e-mail
address has the hostname stripped from the domain (this is the address I
use, and used to subscribe to balsa-list) but when e-mail's broken I often
wind up sending e-mail's where "From:" is correct but "From" has the
hostname. It's frustrating not being able to contact the list when my
mail's broken. :-(

(The last one was how libesmtp 0.8.2 has somehting wrong with the
smtp_option_require_all_recipients symbol. The message didn't seem to make
it to the list and is currently in the deferred queue to be sent to Brian
Stafford. Hopefully it will get to him. I no longer have a copy.)
