Hi,
I just commited the stuff to make imap/TLS and SSL work. It's based on
Manuel's and my own patches. the SSL problems people experienced with
manuel's first patch were solved with some minor bypassing in libmutt.
caveats:
* certificates without valid signatures will be accepted any way. stuff will
show up in the error list but i guess by then it's too late. standing
problem - get libmutt to prompt to user about the cert which can be solved
with a callback, but it blows dead bears and i didn't feel like mucking
with it.
* uses TLSv1, SSLv2 and SSLv3. this can easily be made into a config option.
global ? per mailbox ?
* pop3s should work but i haven't tested it. anyone uses it ?
* imap uses TLS when available (should be fairly easy to make configurable)
which means on silly servers we may use SSL sockets and TLS imap. not
terribly bad but a waste.
tkx manuel, i just wished i knew about your about patch before writting most
of it myself :)
enjoy
