one unpleasant behaviour

When I click on my remote IMAP folder,
balsa takes a noticeble time (longer than netscape)
to load something from IMAP server - I have a folder with 3000 mails

Unpleasant thing is that after the click on the folder, no hints that
something goes on
appear - the folder clicked is not even highlighted until after complete
download.
First time I was just sure Balsa hanged - just before killing it noticed
that my
modem lights are flashing and waited a bit more.

Can this be rectified ?
