IMHO, attachments should be forwarded. In two cases is this feature useful :
- to forward attachments to another email address, where I'll have time/tools to manage them
- to send attachments to a colleague, who should have gotten them in the first place.
In both cases, I must save them, possibly providing names, then re-attach them to a new message. Loss of time, error-prone.
Now, it could be configurable, of course.
BTW, I'd love to have a "remove attachment" feature. This would allow, with the "attachment forward" feature, to select which attachments you actually forward (I hate these winmail.dat thingies ...)
And, even without the "attachment forward" feature, it'd allow me to correct my attachment-selection mistakes ...
