Balsa checked for the new mail on startup pretty early. Now, it check
for it when the GUI is ready. Bug fix works for me both in threaded as
well
as serial version.

PS. I indend to look at the <crap>data<crap> problem today, or is there
anybody out there with an (almost) ready fix so I don't reinvent the
wheel?
