compile troubles from cvs balsa

howdy,

my system is running redhat 5.2 and gnome 0.99.1 and other support libs
from rpms. i tried installing various versions of balsa from source with
no luck. rpms didn't work either, so i thought i'd checkout cvs and try that.
i'm getting this error upon compile after doing ./autogen.sh and make

Making all in libbalsa
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/balsa/libbalsa'
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I.. -I../libmutt -I/usr/include -DNEED_GNOMESUPPORT_H -I/usr/lib/gnome-libs/include -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/lib/glib/include -g -O2 -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -Wpointer-arith -c filter-error.c
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/include/gtk/gtkdrawwindow.h', needed by `filter-file.o'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/balsa/libbalsa'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/balsa'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

i did a query for gtkdrawwindow on the cross reference cvs page, and saw
a changelog entry that says gtkdrawwindow has been removed.

http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/gtk%2b/ChangeLog#565

if anyone needs further config details of my system, i can post them here.
