Re: Comments on 1.0pre3, part 1

If nobody raises objections against the proposed changes, I could 
try to produce a pre4 version in the next few days. Before I start
doing so, I would like to hear your opinion on the second part of
my comments, though ? Do you think something like this should be 
part of the spec ? If so, should it be an introduction or an appendix ?
