	You need to initialize the ORB once per process, perhaps therein lies
your mistake.

	Your best bet is to ask Sebastian what his plans are with ORBit-MT and
ORBit2, I was hoping he would work on ORBit2 but he's a busy chap now,
trying to finish his PhD. I think avoiding threads wherever possible is
really the best strategy though :-)
