The usual suspects of the GUADEC organization are all quite busy with the core responsibilities, we need fresh blood to pick up and finish things that can be done in less than 2-3 hours. I'll try to send here these tasks, well package in order to invite anyone to pick them and do them) [HELP] Confirming bank transfer payments People selecting Bank transfer as payment method get an automatic response when they complete the pre-registration, but then someone needs to confirm them the registration when the payment is received. Chema from GNOME Hispano sends a weekly report with the new transfers received. Most people is using PayPal, so we end up having only 10 transfers or so a week. It's not much work to send this confirmation but someone needs to write the general message and send it to the participants. DEPENDENCIES: - you need the list of transfers done, provided by Quim/Chema (currently about 30 people). - you need to have access to these users' contact details, Quim can provide you this access. LINKED TASKS If you want more, there is more. - Chasing people that has chosen bank transfer but didn't pay after 2 weeks. Specially those booking accommodation (we pay this money in advance, and we need it). - Finding a way to send a confirmation email to PayPal users. They get a payment confirmation from PayPal but no warm and thankful GUADEC welcome message is available for them.
