If we want the local groups joining us we need to provide more time to react. Please coordinate with at least Toni Hermoso to find an appropriate date for the next local meeting. Check the found date also fits in Andy Wingo and Lluís Sànchez agendas and I will try to join you then. BTW when I was in Vilanova last time I commented the idea of having an informative session in the university and, well, I didn't see much expectations. The 8 or so people regularly involved in free software are committed with the Jornades de Programari Lliure that are being held... one week after somewhere in Catalonia. Last year this event was held in Vilanova and these 8 people (teachers most of them are the ones that were mobilized). I doubt we can get more volunteers than these (already busy) for GUADEC this year. Sice we have still so many things to do, I would invest the energies mobilising the Catalan local groups, since from there we can retrieve a good amount of volunteers investing a reasonable amount of time and energies. Once this is solved we can go and see if we get more people involved in Vilanova.
