problem compiling gtk+ 1.1.9

Hi, I am rather new to this gtk stuff, so please point out any thing I am
doing wrong.

I got the source of gtk/glib 1.1.9 from gnome cvs.
glib compiled installed fine without any trouble.
However, when I try compiling gtk, I get errors like this.

[g] gtk+ =) ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
WARNING: aclocal's directory is /usr/share/aclocal, but...
         no file /usr/share/aclocal/gettext.m4
         You may see fatal macro warnings below.
         If these files are installed in /some/dir, set the ACLOCAL_FLAGS
         environment variable to "-I /some/dir", or install
         /usr/share/aclocal/gettext.m4.

Running gettextize...  Ignore non-fatal messages.

Now type 'make' to compile Gtk+.
[g] gtk+ =) make

I am using automake-1.3, which comes with rh5.1. Most of the stuff are
default pkgs from rh5.1 in case you need to know.

Thanx =)
